The Need for Speed Heat will be the first EA Game with many dynamic players, thanks to an update to be available soon, EA announced on the blog yesterday. A new feature of the crossplay will allow you to play with friends on the PC via Origin and Steam, PS4, and Xbox One.

After installing the update, you will be given the option to open the crossplay, depending on the installation notes of the update. If you choose not to, you can do so later in the game’s privacy settings.
